Ya-Ping Shih is a former champion archer, having won an Individual Silver and Team Gold Medal at the 1999 World Archery Championships while competing for Taiwan. She was recruited to lead Archery Australia in 2013 after coaching the Chinese Taipei team across three Olympic Games (2004, 2008, and 2012), where she guided both male and female archers to medal success on the international stage.
